One of the main motivations for buying an RV was to travel the U.S. Our annual trip to see Mike and Staci in Florida is a perfect combination of vacation and family.
We have the route planned, as you can see by clicking the map on the left. Unlike our previous adventures, we are not making any reservations. Our thinking is – at this time of year we should not find any parks completely full. More importantly, we want the flexibility to decide how many days to stay (or not stay) in each place AFTER we see what’s there.
These are the stops we’ve planned – (some are links if you want more information).
- Circus- Circus, Las Vegas, Nevada
- Cecil’s Daughter in Peoria, Arizona
- Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
- Meteor Crater, Winslow, Arizona
- Petrified Forest and Painted Desert, Chambers, Nevada
- Hot Springs, Arkansas (Visiting Family)
- Texas Hollow Road, Luttrel, Tennessee (Visiting Family)
- Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Valley Forge, Tennessee
- Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Franklin, North Carolina
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Mike’s House, Eustis, Florida
Help us make this an adventure! If you have a favorite spot that you think we would like to see, or you feel is a must see, along our route, please leave us a comment below! We’ll be returning in mid-December via the Southern route (along the southern borders of Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
Safe travels, my friend.
Kids are excited!!! See you soon. Drive safe:)
