We are just finishing our two days in Independence, Missouri; basically a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri/Kansas. Although we didn’t do much touristing here we were fortunate to park our RV in a lot right next to the Mormon Temple (see image). The Mormon Church has a lot of history here. Playing Ingress has made us aware of how many churches there are in various communities, but this town is absolutely covered!
Ingress
We planned a small operation to cover Independence. We recruited a local agent to assist with clearing and to throw from one of the anchors over in Kansas City. About 15 minutes before check he (when we had planned to start throwing) reported that he could not get to the portal. The portal I had selected is near the Kansas City Royals Stadium and apparently there is some kind of baseball event going on today. Anyone heard anything about that? The Op was a bust so we spent our last afternoon here enjoying the good weather and preparing for departure tomorrow morning. Next stop St. Louis.
